Visiting a Petting Zoo

Today Mat, Miles and I spent a few hours browsing the sights at the Seeteufel Zoo in Studen. It was our first time there and we were positively surprised at how "child friendly" it was (not very typical in Switzerland).

There were lots of different animals in big huge cages so that they had plenty of room to roam around in. One area was a "petting section" and you could walk around the many goats and mules to pet and feed them popcorn.

At the end, there was an area with "carousel and coin-operated machines" for kids. Miles seemed quite excited at first to get on the bike/quad/monster truck...until he actually did. Then his face was almost more serious as when he got his haircut yesterday. However, he was quite content riding the carousel pony, which he shared with another little 19 month-old girl. So content that he said "encore" when the ride was over.
